Oh, we’ve missed you! As I’m writing this, I’m feeling a surge of excitement at the prospect it won’t be long until I see you all again. With the government news permitting us to now resume all close contact services as of 15th August, I am thrilled that we will be welcoming you all back soon after a tough, few months.
Since we’ve closed our doors, I’ve been channeling my energy into lots of different things to keep myself busy! On top of buying a house and currently doing a complete top-to-bottom renovation, I’ve been working on a new website which will be more accessible and reflective of our new branding (can’t wait to show you this soon!). I’m also thrilled to have joined partnership with the National Medical Weight Loss Programme (NMWLP) to help deliver professionally and medically supervised weight loss programmes to patients struggling to reduce their weight.
Our beautiful new clinic, which opened earlier this year, has had all it’s finishing touches added and ready to welcome all of you who haven’t had a chance to see it yet!
As we are currently open, running a reduced treatment list for the time-being, I thought I’d write a little blog post to let you know of all the extra precautions we are taking to keep you and our staff safe and in line with government guidelines.
Here’s how things are being done differently:
Online video consultations
All new consultations will be carried out online to save people coming into the clinic. These are free of charge and can be booked on our website here.
Enhanced PPE and installation of hand sanitisation stations
We have always abided in the strictest way possible with hygiene and safety regulations in the clinic, ensuring cleanliness and cross-contamination control is our greatest priority. Upon entering the clinic, you’ll be asked to use our hand sanitising station to sanitise before and after your treatment to allow for optimal hand hygiene.
Whilst wearing PPE has always been the normal procedure in the clinic, we will be wearing a mask, apron, visor and gloves during your appointment. We’d kindly ask that you also bring your face mask along with you to your appointment and do not remove this until you are asked to do so. If you do not have one, we will provide you with one.
One in, One out Policy
To avoid the cross-over of clients, we will be operating a ‘one in, one out’ policy to ensure only one patient will be in the clinic at all times.
To maintain social distancing, our waiting area will be closed and we ask that you only come into the clinic at the time of your appointment. If for any reason your appointment might be delayed, you will be informed by text message.
We also ask that you do not bring any one along to your appointment with you.
Extended appointments and deep cleaning regimes between clients
Our appointment times have been extended to allow for deep cleaning of the clinic, equipment and surrounding spaces. This also allows for the aeration and ventilation of the clinic between clients.
Upon entering the clinic, Clinic Co-ordinator, Lucy, will go through pre-appointment screening questions to ensure your appointment is able to go ahead.
We ask that if you, or anyone you have come into contact with, have experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days, to not attend the clinic and call to rearrange your appointment:
- A high temperature
- A new, continuous cough
- A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
- Any other cold or flu like symptoms
Should you become unwell within two weeks after your treatment, please inform the clinic in order for us to enable contact tracing.
All staff have completed essential COVID-19 training and we have used this time to educate ourselves and implement the appropriate changes to ensure we are fully compliant and in line with all guidance from Public Health England, NHS England and the Government.
We know that things aren’t back to normal yet and we’ve got a long way to go, but we’re really looking forward to getting you back in the clinic and seeing you all soon.
